National Coverage Policy

The term 'National Coverage Policy ' as it applies to the area of Medicare in the United States can be defined as ' A policy developed by CMS that indicates whether and under what circumstances certain services are covered under the Medicare program. It is published in CMS regulations, published in the Federal Register as a final notice, contained in a CMS ruling, or issued as a program instruction'.
